Vanessa C.
"Fresh, tasty, delicious, surprising in the mixes and flavors but oh so comforting!"
Description
The balsam fir tree specie is native to North America, a conifer in the Pinaceae family. Balsam fir's young shoots taste their best when harvested in spring when they are tender, and then dried for later use.
What do balsam fir shoots taste like?
The wild herb is distinguished by its delicately sweet and fruity fir notes, without any bitterness. Its complex aroma palette evokes confectionery and even the sweetness of cotton candy, but with a distinctive woody touch.
A treasure of nature, the balsam fir wonderfully complements various culinary preparations, such as sauces, marinades, homemade cocktail syrups and shortbread cookies. You can also simply enjoy this product from the Nordic pantry as a comforting herbal tea.
Not recommended for pregnant women and children under 5 years old.
